A Hilton Head Wedding For Mackenzie & Michael Drescher

Aww back at what I do best and have such a true passion for wedding season and amazing clients. Back about 4 years ago, I had the distinct pleasure of photographing Alexis Wells & John wedding, then 3 months ago, I received a call from her mom, I quote ” Michel you did such a fantastic job on my first daughters wedding that I would love for you to now photograph Mackenzie wedding assuming you are available” Say no more I replied. This is where this wedding took me back to HHI, for the ceremony at Palmetto Bluff, we then drove back to Berkley Hall to have the reception. It was nothing but so much fun to not only see such great and dedicated clients but the love they have for their entire family, to make this special day even better Mackenzie best friend Jennifer Buck, was proposed to by Patrick Myers, I am always scanning and paying very close attention to what goes on and I was so happy to be ready aim and snap that shutter to catch a once in a lifetime moment for them from my heart.

Here in the bride and the groom words on how this day became so amazing.” Michael, a native of Montana, had been living in the Washington DC metro area for almost two decades, most of that time as a management consultant and then as president of a security services company. Tired of the big city, he yearned for the pleasures of country life, so when he asked Mackenzie, a native Washingtonian, and International Development consultant, on a date and offered to teach her how to fly fish, she was intrigued. They hit it off, and as he likes to say – meeting Mackenzie was the best catch he ever made.

A little over a year later they were engaged and chose their wedding destination to be Bluffton SC – where her parents currently reside. Michael and Mackenzie fell in love with the chapel at Palmetto Bluff and always knew this would be where they married. As they are both of Irish decent, they decided what better than a St. Patrick’s Day wedding! On March, 17th 2012, Michael and Mackenzie married at their favorite chapel with a reception to follow at the Berkeley Hall Club.”
