Sarah & Malachy A Mothers Day Wedding

The joy of weddings meeting new people being a part of family and friends never gets old for me, I strive, breath and live for my passion, on Mothers day this past weekend, I had the privilege and honor to be a part of a so very special day, but this one had a little twist the bride was already a mother, and that made it even more special. Yes, I met Sarah & Malachy Friedman 5 months ago, In Sarah words” I wanted a venue that reflected qualities I value and admire: serenity, casual elegance, and natural beauty, and found those at Legare Waring. I planned every detail to harmonize with those traits, and still leave room for fun and spontaneity. The avenue of oaks provided that fairy tale element to the wedding that little girls dream about, as for Malachy “I grew up living a Southern boy’s life in Charleston, running through woods, climbing trees and playing with friends in the creeks and rivers. Charleston is where I am most at home. I was so happy when I introduced Sarah to Charleston, and she fell in love with its historic charm. So for us, our wedding had to be in nature’s cathedral of century-old live oaks at the historic Legare Waring House in Charlestown Landing. I’m both an instructor and a student of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and a former MMA fighter. I work and practice at American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida under the tutelage of Master Ricardo Liborio. I am fortunate to work with BJJ professionals who are both champions and family as for my wife Sarah, she is originally from New Jersey, where she grew up climbing trees and playing outdoors. She received a degree with honors in criminal justice from Broward College in Florida, a discipline where quick thinking is emphasized – something also important in the martial arts. She plans to go back to school for business and open up a martial arts academy with me her best friend, and her new husband.

Thank you all great vendors for being there and doing such a fantastic job.
