Pavilion Pepper Plantation wedding is a great way to start this wedding year of 2018, I photographed for Amanda & Kyle. I was introduced to this military couple by the lovely great Rachel Cole, from Smooth Sailing Event Coordinating & Consulting Services. Rachel was very familiar with my wedding photography and the impeccable service I provide all of my clients. She knew I would be a perfect fit and once the contract and deposit were completed, I worked diligently with Amanda lovely mom in planning her daughter destination wedding.
The wedding took place at The Pavilion At Pepper Plantation, a very well know wedding venue here in Charleston, SC for having a very rustic theme with a barn, and beautiful landscape, a new modern twist, that features a waterfront gazebo, and gorgeous red roof, a wooden interior that is fresh and spectacular. If you are having your ceremony at this beautiful venue, you will be overlooking the pond with many pine trees for a truly chic wedding southern affair.
On the day of the wedding, the weatherman called for afternoon showers. As always with Rachel & Amanda mom we had created a great wedding timeline. I arrive at the cottage and was greeted by them and the bridesmaids, we then proceeded with the ceremony and as soon has it was over the rain came down, luckily for the couple, I always come with major back up equipment, another reason why my 18 years of true wedding photography comes into place. In this situation, the only option and free space was the porch area. I had to create this gorgeous light for family photos because there was not much there. By having the right lighting equipment, I was able to provide my clients with the quality of family photos they were looking for. I also managed in less than 10 minutes with my lighting technique in creating a spectacular light for the couples photos.
Once again, I always tell any future wedding clients that practically everyone is a wedding photographer today, and most can create wedding images in (Ambient Light, the camera actually does that), however if your wedding photographer has 5 years or less of photography experience like most, they have no idea how to create the right light with strobes or most other lighting equipment, if you want to see what I am talking about look and browse most of the Charleston blogs and you will see that very clearly. Again” not all wedding photographers are created equal” Experience matters a lot when there is only one day, one time to create these type of images you the client deserve that.
After the wedding was completed and I provided the couple with their wedding images, Amanda mom wrote me the most sincere and heartfelt Knot review. Truly an amazing family. Amanda & Kyle, thank you so very much for this huge honor and privilege you have given me.
