Today wedding blog could not be more special then it was for my awesome team, Donovan Snype who offered them Cinematic videography my second shooter David Moore, & myself. Back in January, I received a wedding inquiry from Morgan who was getting💍married pre-New Years Eve on 12/30/2018 at the beautiful The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa one of my favs. Being Jewish myself, I also found out that it was a Jewish tradition wedding that would include 💞💞 the Ketubah a legal document that is written in Aramaic, & the Chuppah a beautiful work of art and centerpiece. Shortly after that, 3 days to be exact, I found myself speaking to her lovely mom, and they booked both Cinematic Videography & Photography with us. This was such a huge honor. Next, they informed me that they had brought on another amazing wedding vendor wedding planner Aimee Fennessey, with Amanda Rose Weddings, they asked and if I would drive from Charleston to HHI and have a meeting with them in March which I agreed to do. Quickly after having that meeting and explaining my type A personality and knowing how to design the perfect photography & videography wedding timeline, I sent them all a draft.
Moving forward to their big day, we surprised them the night before by attending the rehearsal you should have seen their facial expression including Aimee (the coordinator) no one knew we were coming. We knew the next day that the weather would not cooperate and that it did not. On the day it rained in the morning and during the day it was very cloudy and foggy at times I may add and very little drizzle rain during the entire day. Everything came together no weather was going to hold the clients back everyone was very positive supportive with great vibes and we were determined on our end to give them back the best that we could. All of the wedding vendors and wedding venue directed by Kristen that teamed up with the amazing Aimee definitely stepped up to the plate and these wedding images will surely display that. We came prepared with amazing lighting gear and by viewing this blog you will get a great feel why you must do your due diligence when hiring a wedding photographer and videographer in making very sure they must be lighting experts because on your wedding day this could drastically affect what is the most important part in your investment you make. Now From The Couple Is How This Day Became One
Michael and I met as a lot of couples do nowadays, online! We like to joke that our friend Jay introduced us as we met on J Swipe, which we explain to people is like Jewish Tinder! Once we matched we quickly moved onto texting, and after 6 weeks of all day texting, I finally agreed to meet Mike for a drink at the Continental, which is one of my favorite restaurants in center city Philadelphia. One drink turned into three, and we’ve been together ever since! After about a year, I stopped bringing things home to my house and we found ourselves living together! Fast forward to our three year dating anniversary in July 2017, Mike told me he was starting to look at rings but wanted me to pick what I liked. Cue the wedding planning as in my mind we were already engaged! It was on a future trip to visit Mike’s dad in Chicago that he officially asked, which was extra special because the day Mike proposed was my Grandparents’ 61st wedding anniversary; good luck for a happy life together! With Mike’s dad preparing to move from Chicago to Bluffton, SC that winter we decided South Carolina would be the ideal location for our destination wedding! Fun fact: I told Mike I would have a destination wedding on our third date; little did I know then it would be OUR destination wedding!!! While looking at wedding venues in both Hilton Head & Charleston, we fell in love with the Westin for the rustic natural decor on the beach; it was truly every element I envisioned for our big day!

When I first started talking to parents of the Bride, Adrian and Bart, I knew this would be a beautiful, emotional day for the whole family! I met the couple for the first time at their tasting about 9 months before the wedding. With all the excitement of visiting the property and meeting vendors, I truly was able to get a vision of what Morgan dreamed of for her big day and started to get a feel for her wedding vision. Morgan wanted a silver color palette with pops of sparkle here and there to really highlight the winter season and grays and blues of the Grand Ocean Terrace in the Westin. She decided on a platinum squiggle linen and a combination of peonies, white ranunculus and seeded eucalyptus for her tablescapes. As the months went on, Morgan added in personal touches including clocks as table numbers, pretzels from their hometown as a late night snack and an expansive dessert bar. While the weather kept us on our toes the wedding week, the wedding day was beautiful! With a little help from our team behind the scenes, Morgan and David got the outdoor ceremony they had dreamed of and they were able to truly enjoy every moment with their family and friends!
