After photographing two great weddings on both the Friday, & Saturday, I was blessed again to have the pleasure of being back again at Sea Pines Resort for Jennifer & Chris Gardes Wedding. All look good on this Sunday until the clouds came in, we were very lucky and were given a nonrainy day. the setting was perfect, the flowers and setting were amazing, after the ceremony we left for the reception at the Plantation Club, there Diane Russell, the coordinator for Sea Pines resort and her staff catered to the bride and groom friends and family, were everyone had a great time.
Here below is Jennifer & Chris words about it all.
The two of us met in June 2009 through an old-fashioned matchmaking service. Our first date was at the Spain92 restaurant in Bridgewater, New Jersey, where we closed the restaurant with the staff. We have been together ever since. On our summer vacation in July 2010, Chris popped the question to a very surprised Jennifer atop the Harbour Town Lighthouse at the Sea Pines Plantation on Hilton Head Island. We were married last month on August 21, 2011, at the eighteenth hole of the Harbour Town golf links overlooking that same lighthouse where we were engaged.
We live on the Jersey Shore (but we don’t know Snooki) and work in New York City. Jennifer works in marketing and Chris is in IT. Our connection to Hilton Head is that Chris’ parents moved to the Sea Pines Plantation a few years ago and spend most of the year there. Talk about fate, Jennifer’s stepmother also moved to the Sea Pines Plantation a few years ago and lives there year round, only a mile away from Chris’ parents. It didn’t take more than a single visit for us to realize that we loved Hilton Head. So, it seemed only natural to for Chris to propose to Jennifer in a spot loved by both, and for it to be the location of our wedding.
In planning for our wedding, we interviewed several photographers in the Hilton Head area. We decided not have the wedding videotaped so it was important for us to have a photographer that could capture the moments of our wedding as a story. We chose Michel Berda because, to us, his artistic eye in the photos we saw from other weddings impressively captured people and the day in this manner. We are anxiously waiting what we know are going to be amazing photographs from our weddingVendors:
