What can I say about this southern, Italian wedding dreamy soiree, from the couple to the details, classic style, that made this an amazing magical day. I arrived at the Westin Resort and Spa in HHI, to photograph the pre photos on the property, which followed by the ceremony at St Francis by the sea, shortly after we arrived at the beautiful Port Royal Clubhouse, for a one of a kind seated plated dinner reception. I could not be any happier with the memories I captured.
Here below from the bride is how this became such a Magical day for both of them, family and guest:
We were set up on a blind date through a friend Betsy that I knew from a 6 am Bootcamp class that we took together. Through conversation, she knew I was single and insisted that there was this guy that I just had to meet. I would just kind of laugh it off, but she was persistent. Then one day a few week later, I decided what could be giving her my number to give to this guy I had never met? So I gave it to her one morning after boot camp and that afternoon when I got off of work, I had a message on my voicemail from Jason. In the back of my mind, I honestly didn’t think he was going to call. I called him back and we ended up speaking on the phone for a couple of hours and he ended up asking me to dinner the next night. And we have been together ever since 🙂
We were engaged in NYC for our traditional December trip, We had an amazing lunch and after we took a little walk over Bow Bridge and came to this gorgeous bench made of different branches and such. As we were sitting there enjoying the quiet and relaxing after a delightful lunch, Jason said: “So what do you think of this?”. I turned to look at what he was talking about, and he had a little black box in his hand. I put my hands over my mouth and gasped and the next thing out of his mouth was “We have been together for 4 years, will you be with me forever” My dream as a little girl had just come true. I get to marry the man of my dreams, my best friend.
We wanted a low country plantation for our big day, we got exactly that with Port Royal Golf club. We Loved the idea of the fun southern style out back with the fire pits, corn hole, and rocking chairs, along with the formal aspect inside with the chivari chairs, up lighting, and elegant linen and centerpieces.
