Hilton Head South Carolina, always a special place to have a wedding, of course, I am there often, luckily for me, I had the honor of meeting and photographic Gretchen & Dan wedding.
Here in the bride’s words is how this became such an amazing day.
Our journey together began in the fall of 2010 at our apartment complex pool near Dayton, Ohio. Dan had just started a new career as a school psychologist in Dayton after spending a year in Alaska, and I was in my third year as a nurse in the oncology department at Kettering Hospital. After engaging in friendly conversation at the pool, we realized we had a close family friend in common. Over the next several months, we began spending more time together and soon realized our lives were better with one another. Our engagement became official in the winter of 2012, and we decided to tie the knot Spring of 2013.
As we both love the beach and the Carolina’s, Hilton Head was the perfect wedding destination. Dan’s family had vacationed in Hilton Head often in his childhood, but I had never been. The setting provided the perfect spring escape after a dreary Ohio winter!
We envision a small, intimate family wedding setting, and Palmetto Dunes turned out to be the perfect wedding venue! Carrie (Palmetto Dunes Wedding Coordinator) and the rest of the Palmetto Dunes staff were very friendly and exceptionally accommodating. The food was delicious and the setting was ideal for a small wedding. We would recommend Palmetto Dunes and the Dunes House to any couples looking for an intimate beach wedding.
Michel was highly recommended from Carrie, at Palmetto Dunes. We were more than impressed with his unique vision and artistry. The images were exactly what we were looking for and we couldn’t be happier! Michel was great to work with the day of the wedding.
