What a great day to post a blog for my amazing clients, Jayme & Brian! It all started when I received a call from Jayme’s mom back on January 27 and she was so excited about her daughter’s upcoming wedding. As I shared my deep passion for my art, she immediately told me to send a contract over. She gave me a little insight into the couple and informed me that the couple was very laid back and wanted their day to be just that.
On wedding day as I drove from Charleston, SC with Donovan, the master videographer, we decided this day was going to perfect! We were so honored to be at this beautiful venue, the Westin Hilton Head Resort & Spa, and excited to work with the very talented Ashlee Fleming, the Catering Sales Manager at the resort. As we arrived to resort we were greeted by Brian & Jayme’s sister in the lobby. We went to Bryan’s room first to photograph his sister, mom, father (the best man). You could feel the great family connection as they hugged, cried and laughed as they were getting ready. After finishing pre-ceremony pictures with Brian, we arrived at Jayme’s room where her Mom, sisters, and girlfriends were all getting ready. Jayme’s brother was so much fun; he popped open a bottle champagne in celebration. The wedding ceremony was full of over 200 friends and family. The entire ceremony and Greek reception were fun, with lots of energy from everyone, with dollars being thrown in the air and friends and family dancing in a circle, just perfect! I am so humble and honored to have been a historian on this fantastic event. Thank you.
Now here in her own words from the bride is how this day became:
Brian and I met in 2005 as sophomores in college. We quickly became close friends then started dating shortly thereafter. Brian proposed last summer at one of our favorite beaches. We both knew we wanted a beach wedding and loved the idea of having a destination wedding in Hilton Head. His parents had a condo in Shelter Cove that we had been going to for years. It was always one of my favorite vacations. We toured a few venues and ended up at the beautiful Westin Resort and we couldn’t have been happier. We were so lucky that all of our friends and family were to make the trip and join us for such a wonderful celebration. Everything about it was perfect! My mother and I started looking for a photographer and Michel came highly recommended by way of personal referrals and through an amazing amount of highly voted reviews on wedding sites and various other social media platforms. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer to capture such a special weekend for Brian and I. Thank you so much!
