This Blog featuring this lovely couple at the church Stella Maris & The William Aiken house. After a year and months of waiting for me to photograph this wedding for this special couple who meant so much to me, the day finally came for Brittany And John by having such a beautiful ceremony at Stella Maris on Sullivan Island and a charming soiree in downtown Charleston, at the oh gorgeous William Aiken House, with great weather, perfect bridal party, friends and family the day and the evening for this couple turned out just perfect.
From Brittany, I was born and raised in Lexington, SC and went to USC where I studied Business. I’m now working in global health operations out of Charleston. John grew up in Ann Arbor, MI and completed his general surgery training there. He’s now a transplant surgeon at MUSC in Charleston. When I moved to Charleston John and I became neighbors and we met just a month or two later. I fell madly in love with him and spent the next 12 months convincing him to marry me. But seriously, we were engaged in our favorite vacation destination, Miami, on New Year’s Eve. We both love living and working in Charleston, a beautiful and peaceful city with an extraordinary history. We chose to get married at Stella Maris Catholic Church on Sullivan’s Island as it’s a bit of a family tradition. Our reception was held at the William Aiken House in downtown Charleston. We feel like the wedding was a smashing success and Michel was fabulous.
