I have captured many weddings. While they are all different to me, some of them have a special meaning. Take this wedding to be one of them. When Brittany got in touch to give me the honor to photograph her wedding, she made a point that the wedding photography was her biggest investment, she wanted to have it photographed perfectly. I accepted, and as usual I had a conference call with her and Patrick to design the perfect day timeline. I always ask every clients what is the most important part or person, persons of your wedding that I need to capture for you both, Brittany was the first to answer”everything to do with our son, it is about him”.
They are absolutely a gorgeous couple and the most precious boy! This fête and the beauty is as stunning as you would imagine! There are really no more words needed from me about this special day for my fantastic clients, my images will give you a great feel for what my heart and eyes saw during this day, and I am so happy with the amazing results.
Here from the bride is how this day became.
As cliché as it sounds we actually met at a bar. I had walked into a bar with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday and a group of guys were there watching the Buckeye football game. Patrick approached me and we chatted for a bit and I gave him my phone number. Being the quirky hopeless romantic I am I wrote my number on a napkin and slid it over to him. He laughed and said “I’ll just put this in my phone, it is 2013”. After weeks of talking on the phone and texting I finally agreed to go on a date with him. I was a little skeptical; after all we did meet in a bar. We met one evening and sat and talked for hours. There was never a dull moment. I went home and called my mom and said I am going to marry this man!
After the first date we saw each other often, and every date was better than the last. The true test was when I decided to have Patrick meet my son Jett. He was two years old at the time and my entire world. From the day they met they have been amazing together. I could not have picked a better father for my son. The love between the two of them solidified our relationship and made us grow strong as a family. Eight months into the relationship we bought of our first home together, and a month later we were engaged. Our relationship moved very quickly, and everything seemed perfect.
December of 2014 I became very ill. I was hospitalized and my recovery took quite some time. Patrick never left my side. He made sure I had everything I needed, and kept the family afloat. A big key to marriage is being through the good and the bad, the sickness and health. And if I was positive enough about him being the one, that sure did top the cake. Then came the wedding planning…
With so much going on in our lives we decided we wanted to do a small destination wedding with our closest family and friends. Our wedding in Hilton Head was absolutely amazing! The weather was perfect, everyone was so happy, and of course we had an amazing photographer to guide us through the day. Michel was very helpful in guiding us where to go, and capturing the most amazing shots. The day was perfect, and I would not change a thing.
