The wedding bands, the symbol of a lifetime of love to one another. It has been captured in a million if not a billion different ways. Photographing them for me is different. I like to incorporate the client's actual hands, it is a more meaningful way of expressing that, plus asking the clients to take their rings off after they have just exchanged their love for one to another is taboo for me. At this wedding on the beach at Palmetto Dunes in Hilton Head, SC I saw the perfect lines of the groom jacket with the beautiful dress of the bride, the pink cast from the flowers, and yet what glows in this image is the wedding bands, the engagement ring, the left negative space that draws your eyes to those rings, the blur that was incorporated after the capture, and the surf behind it all on the beach at Palmetto Dunes.
