Water Front Park was established and opened on May 11th, 1990 yes 29 years have gone by and it is a landmark in Charleston, SC visited by many tourists and locals. The eight-acre park & pier is Iconic featuring porches, benches, a giant fountain, and the famous Pineapple Fountain. I know this so very well as I got married here many moons ago. All we had back then was dirt on the ground and the pineapple. Yes, that was a long time ago...Being a wedding photographer that captures engagement and bridal portraits as well as the proposal I am very costumed to the request by many clients to have their picture capture here. Yes, it is iconic and many photographers before and after me will attempt the same. I always try to implement my skills it is my vision that creates the moment to exceed my client's highest expectations. The perspective in being a photographer is that I am just not another person with a camera, but more of an artist that creates compelling images with complementary backgrounds. There are no experimentation settings, however more about the tone for me to capture the image that I knew they would love. What appeals to me about this image is what it means and projects by capturing that emotional chemistry love, this couple has today and for many more generations to come. One key part of this image is that it is and always will be a special proposal image they will enjoy forever.
