Wedding Photographer for William Aiken House
.The William Aiken House is a popular venue for weddings in Charleston, South Carolina. I always love it when a bride who has booked this wedding venue also allows me to take her bridal portraits at this unique location. The history behind this home is steeped in southern charm, dating back to the early 1700s. The house is stunning with its yellow and white exterior, black and white checkered floor in the entrance, beautiful gardens, white columns, and custom-raised small ponds...During a recent Charleston bridal portrait session, I began photographing the bride inside the house, and then we moved outside. As I looked for a unique bridal portrait image, I spotted a balcony that sparked my creativity. Running upstairs, I asked the bride to wait, and from my vision, I believed it would be the most beautiful image of the day. By posing her and asking her to look up at me as she began to grab her veil, I captured a stunning portrait that highlighted her smile, beauty, and eyes.
